Historic and Physical Geology
Sedimentary rock, granular cryptocrystalline silica (crystaline structure too fine
to see with an ordinary microscope.)
It is similar to Chert but uaually dull and dark. Often occures as lumps or nodules
in Cretaceous calcareous rocks.
